How can we help?
Getting started
How do I make a QR code?
Paste a link, phone number, address or Wi-Fi name into the box on the homepage, or pick a QR type. Check the preview, then press Download. You’ll sign in once so your code is saved.
Which QR types are free?
Website, WhatsApp, Call, SMS, Email, Calendar invite, Location, Wi-Fi and Plain text — as plain black-and-white codes with a PNG download. They work forever.
Which QR for a wedding?
An Event page (coming with passes) shows the date, venue map, live stream and contacts, and you can update it after the cards are printed. Choose the Month pass because cards go out weeks early. Today you can already make a free Location code for the venue.
Where are my saved codes?
In My codes. You can download them again anytime, edit them, or delete them.
Why do I need to sign in to download?
So every code is saved to your account and you can find it again. We only receive your name and email. See Your data & security.
Free vs paid designs
Free vs paid designs?
Free codes are plain black on white with a PNG download — the most reliable for scanning. Colours, dot styles, frames, your logo and an SVG print file come with passes, from ₹49.
I made a coloured code before. What happens to it?
Codes you saved before designs moved to passes keep their design. You can still download them from My codes.
When do passes launch?
Soon. Everything free works today and stays free.
Printing & scanning
What size should I print?
At least 2 × 2 cm for close-up scanning such as a business card, and larger for posters seen from a distance — about 1 cm of code for every 10 cm of scanning distance.
Why won’t my code scan?
Usually a code printed too small, a blurry print, or a shiny surface reflecting light. Plain black-and-white codes scan best.
My Wi-Fi code says wrong password.
The password inside the code is exactly what you typed. If you changed the router password, make a new code. Check capital letters too.
Business
Which package fits my business?
Reviews suits any business that wants more honest Google reviews. Business suits places customers visit — restaurants, cafés, salons, hotels and shops — with menus, table codes and Wi-Fi. Manufacturers & Brands suits anything sold in a pack, with product pages and batch codes. See packages.
Can I bulk-create product codes?
Yes — the Manufacturers & Brands package creates one product page and code per row of a spreadsheet, downloaded as a ZIP. It opens with business packages.
Do you issue invoices?
Yes, an invoice for every payment, with your business name and tax ID. Scanlync isn’t GST-registered yet, so invoices are not GST tax invoices.
How does the 7-day trial work?
Sign up now to save your business details. When packages open, your 7-day trial starts and nothing is charged during it. We email you before the first charge. Cancel anytime.
Do you filter out bad reviews?
No. Google doesn’t allow “review gating” or rewards for reviews, and neither do we. Every customer can leave a review.
Your account & privacy
How do I sign in?
With Google, or with your email — we send a 6-digit code. There’s no password to remember. Businesses can also use Microsoft when it is switched on.
The code email didn’t arrive.
Check spam or promotions and search for “Scanlync code”. Wait a minute, then use Resend. Codes expire after 10 minutes. Or use Continue with Google.
Is my data safe?
We keep only what we need, never sell it and show no ads. Wi-Fi passwords and tax IDs are stored encrypted, card details go only to Razorpay, and scans are counted anonymously. Details on Your data & security.
Do you keep my Wi-Fi password?
Only encrypted, so you can download the code again. Our team can’t read it. Remember that anyone who scans the code can join your Wi-Fi.
How do I download or delete my data?
Go to Privacy & security. “Download my data” gives you a file straight away; “Delete my account” removes your account, codes and files.
I got an email about a new sign-in.
If it wasn’t you, open Privacy & security, choose Sign out everywhere, and write to support@scanlync.com.
