Terms of Service
Last updated 30 September 2026These terms apply when you use scanlync.com (“Scanlync”, “we”). By creating an account or downloading a QR code you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Scanlync.
1. What Scanlync does
Scanlync lets you create and download QR codes. A free static code is plain black and white, holds its content inside the pattern and cannot be changed after it is created. Your own design (colours, frames, logo, SVG files) comes with passes. Editable (dynamic) codes, when available, point to a Scanlync link that you can change while your pass or plan is active.
2. Your account
You sign in with Google, Microsoft (for business accounts, when available) or a one-time code sent to your email. You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian. Keep access to your email and Google account secure — anyone who controls them can sign in to your Scanlync account.
3. Your content
You are responsible for what your QR codes contain or link to. You keep ownership of your content and give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service.
4. What you can’t use Scanlync for
- Phishing, malware, scams or fraud
- Adult content, illegal goods or services
- Impersonating another person or business
- Content that infringes someone else’s rights
- Harassment, hate or violence
We may block codes or close accounts that break these rules, and report illegal activity to the authorities.
5. Passes and subscriptions
Paid passes and business packages are not on sale yet. When they launch, a pass is a one-time payment that starts when you pay, and business packages renew monthly after a 7-day free trial and can be cancelled anytime. Launch prices shown during the launch offer are kept for your first 12 months. Codes keep working after a pass or plan ends; only editing and statistics lock. Refunds are covered in our Refunds & Cancellation policy.
6. Availability
Static codes work without our servers. We work hard to keep the website available but can’t promise it will never be interrupted. We may change or improve features over time.
7. Liability
Scanlync is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
8. Changes and law
We may update these terms and will show the new date at the top; significant changes will be emailed to account holders. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
